About Us
Our family's association with furnishings goes back for several generations - that’s over 60 years!. We have worked for the likes of Lord Derby; Lord Sefton; Bibby & Cunard Shipping Liners; Charles Taylor’s of Bold St. Liverpool; and the Moores family.
Founded by the late Gordon Grisedale, the company is now run by Jeff Grisedale who has 30 years' experience in upholstery and curtains and Cheryl Grisedale who has 30 years' experience in sewing.
Upholstery
We can re-cover three piece suites, settees, chairs, dining seats, stools, headboards, and just about anything else you can think of! We can make bespoke furniture on request including headboards, stools and poufs. Loose covers and antique furniture are our speciality.
We also have an interior cushion filling service, using foam, feathers or modern fibres, with thousands of fabrics from leading designers to choose from. With French Polishing and Modern Spray finishing service available from Marcus Humphries, ask us for details.
The majority of our work is done by hand, using traditional methods such as:
- Hammer and tacks
- Coiled springs
- Cane edging
- Hand stitching
Curtains and Soft Furnishings
Grisedale Upholstery supply, make and fit; curtains, voiles, roman blinds, swags and tails, pelmets, valances, eyelets, bed throws, scatter cushions, tablecloths, runners, window seats and much, much more.
We have a huge range of fabrics, poles, tracks and trimmings to suit any window shape or design. We can also supply and fit roller, venetian and vertical blinds.
There is also a choice of hand or blind stitched hems along with interlinings (including blackout, fleece, cotton or poly-cotton).
Electronic tracks and Metropoles™ by Silent Gliss® and Evans Textiles® can also be fitted to roman blinds and curtains.
